Before you write

A tool failed on your file? The error message on the page names the file and the reason. Most failures are one of four things: the file is a different format than its name suggests, it is damaged, it is password-protected, or it is over the 25 MB per-file limit. Checking those first solves most reports.

Please include: the tool you used, your browser and device, and what you expected versus what happened. Do not attach the file itself unless we ask for it; we do not need your documents to debug, and we would rather not receive them.

Tool requests

Send them. The roadmap is driven by what people actually need. One honest note: the Office converters here — Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in both directions — run in your browser, so text, tables and images convert well while complex layouts may come out differently. Each tool page states what it does and does not preserve; desktop-grade, pixel-perfect Office conversion is out of scope.

Security reports

Found a way a file could escape the browser sandbox, or an injection in a converter? Email the address above with the word "security" in the subject. Reports get a reply within a few days, and public credit if you want it.
