Peli Tools

Cookie policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

The short version

This site sets no cookies of its own. Every converter runs inside your browser and your files never leave your device — so nothing here needs to remember you across the web.

Cookies versus local storage

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store and send back with every request to that site. PeliTools sets none today: no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no session cookie.

The site does keep two preferences in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme choice, and the options you last used on each tool. Local storage never travels with requests, never reaches a server, and disappears when you clear site data. It is a convenience, not tracking.

Advertising, only with consent

Advertising is currently disabled on this site. If it is enabled later, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to select and measure ads. Those cookies will load only after you accept them in a consent banner shown on your first visit, and you will be able to change your choice at any time through a “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Refusing will make no difference to any tool: every converter stays free and fully functional without advertising cookies.

What never happens

  • Your files are never uploaded, and no cookie ever contains them or data derived from them.
  • No cross-site tracking or advertising identifiers while advertising is off.
  • No analytics scripts and no third-party embeds on converter pages.

Your choices

Because the site sets no cookies, blocking cookies in your browser does not break anything here. You can also clear local storage at any time in your browser settings; the only effect is that your theme and tool options reset to their defaults.

For everything else the site does and does not do with data, see the privacy policy. Questions are welcome on the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Enabling advertising would be a material change and will be written here in plain language before it ships.
